We thought we’d heard it all … but that was before Giuliana Rancic decided to offer up some advice to LeAnn Rimes about her weight.
Rimes has been fending off a barrage of attacks about her ultra-thin body since she left her former husband and hooked up with Eddie Cibrian. Each new volley of Twiiter hate-speak has resulted in the sharing of new bikini poses that are intended to prove that she is healthy … and hot looking.
This week super-skinny celebrity Giuliana Rancic did an interview with the Huffington Post about a new restaurant that she and husband Bill Rancic, of Apprentice fame, plan to open in Chicago.
When asked what celebrity she’d like to fatten up, she pounced on Rimes, “She lost a lot of weight from all the stress in her life. She seems a little thin right now and I think she looks great when she’s a bit curvier.”
Fiesty Rimes hit Twitter with a vengeance, “@GiulianaRancic hey, we should go to dinner sometime. You get criticized all the time for how small you are. You can see just HOW much I eat and maybe put a stop to this crazy ‘shrinking’ once and for all. Then we should workout together! Good luck with your restaurant!!!”
When another follower asked for clarification, Rimes elaborated, “I just don’t appreciate her comments, so I really would love for her to hang with me, see who I am.”
Rancic was surprised that LeAnn was offended, and insisted she “didn’t mean it as an insult but apparently some people took it the wrong way.”
The kicker was when she continued, “If someone told me they prefer me with some more weight on me … I’d give them a big, fat kiss! I think this is just a big misunderstanding and hold no hard feelings toward LeAnn.”
