Carrie Fisher sat down on Wednesday for an interview with Ann Curry on the Today Show. The actress, best known for her iconic role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars film series, has dropped a considerable amount of weight in the past nine months.
The 54-year-old, a spokeswoman for Jenny Craig, has shed 50 pounds since beginning her weight loss journey in December 2010.
She joked about the iconic swimsuit that she wore in Return of the Jedi in 1983, "I want to get into the metal bikini and just walk around the house like an idiot. Answer the doorbell: 'What is it? This old thing?'"
Fisher, the daughter of famous Hollywood parents Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, has had her share of struggles, including bipolar disorder and an addiction to prescription medications and cocaine.
