Once again it isn't necessarily what you know but who you know. Kylie Jenner will make her runway debut during Fashion Week in New York City on Monday thanks to a family connection.
The teen, 14-year-old half-sister of the famous Kardashian sisters, will make three runway passes along the catwalk at the Metropolitan Pavillion while modeling the Abbey Dawn fashions of Avril Lavigne.
If you were thinking that the Kardashian connection was KJ's ticket to this high-profile assignment ... you'd be half right. Lavigne and Brody Jenner are an item. He and Kylie are half-siblings, both the offspring of former Olympic track and field athlete Bruce Jenner, though they have different mothers.
When Monday rolls around, the front row seats at the Metropolitan will likely hold a full contingent of Kardashian family members, including Kim Kardashian and her NBA husband Kris Humphries, who recently moved to Manhattan after her fairytale wedding and brief honeymoon.
Kylie's older sister Kendall Jenner raised a few eyebrows last year when she landed her first bikini photo shoot at age 14.
