Dancing with the Stars pro Maks Chmerkovskiy, paired this season with soccer goalie Hope Solo, has a reputation for speaking his mind. Last night was no exception.

The Ukrainian ballroom dancer fired back at Len Goodman during his judging critique of their Rumba performance, and that outburst could mean elimination tonight for his struggling partner.

Things got heated after the cranky judge told Solo that her flat-footed boots were a bad shoe choice and then sunk his dagger into her heart by saying, “This was your worst dance of the season.” Chmerkovskiy lost his cool, suggesting that maybe it was time for Goodman to leave the business.

The kicker was when he joined co-host Brooke Burke Charvet for a post-dance interview. He temporarily lost his mind, in our humble opinion, when he said, “With all due respect, this is my show. I helped make it was it is. I love every aspect of it. I love every celebrity that puts effort into it every week. I’m a little tired that we are being judged, some on effort and some being pick on for our heel leads.”

We have to side with Maks because the judges have been extremely hard on Hope Solo this season. They crucified her in the early episodes for not putting as much time into rehearsals as the rest of the celebrity contestants. They have continued to nitpick her performances and her lack of sexiness, while indulging the lackluster performances of Chaz Bono and Nancy Grace.
