Snoop Dogg was busted over the weekend after his tour bus was pulled over for a routine check by the border patrol in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
A drug-sniffing dog was led through the rapper’s tour bus and picked up the scent in a waste basket at the back of the motor vehicle.
Upon closer inspection an agent found a prescription bottle that contained several joints, determined to be less than half an ounce of marijuana.
Snoop readily admitted that the weed belonged to him. The entertainer has a medical marijuana card that is valid in California but as it turns out is worthless in Texas.
Dogg was cited for misdemeanor drug possession and released. He faces up to 180 days behind bars if convicted.
Oddly enough this was the same check point where Willie Nelson got busted back in 2010.
At the time of Nelson’s arrest Snoop railed against the authorities saying, “They better leave Willie the f**k alone.” Check it out after the jump:
