Heather Locklear was released from Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks on Friday, 24-hours after a 911 caller requested help for an "out of control" female.
William Locklear and his wife Diane released a statement indicating that their daughter was never in a life threatening situation despite reports that characterized the emergency as a possible suicide attempt. According to EOnline, Heather's parents are strongly encouraging her to check into a medical rehabilitation facility.
The former Melrose Place celeb reportedly mixed drugs and alcohol and became highly agitated on Thursday afternoon. Locklear, 50, was last photographed on Tuesday night drinking with friends while taking in an L.A. Lakers game.
In 2008 her psychiatrist phoned 911 to report that his patient was suicidal. She refused treatment when an EMS team showed up at her door. Months later she checked herself into an Arizona facility, seeking treatment for anxiety and depression.
Locklear suffered an emotional setback in November 2011 when her fiance Jack Wagner called off their engagement. A week later he revealed that he recently discovered a love child that he never knew about. Many speculate that his sudden involvement with the long lost child, 23-year-old Carrie, was the catalyst for the breakup.
Heather and her ex-husband Richie Sambora share custody of a 14-year-old daughter, Ava Sambora, an aspiring model. The Bon Jovi rocker knows first hand about addiction--his last rehab stint occurred in April 2011.
