Former pro basketball great Michael Jordan listed his Highland Park home on the market Wednesday with an asking price of $29 million.

The luxury Chicago-area property boasts nine-bedrooms and 19 bathrooms.  The 56,000-square-feet residence was built in 1995 and remodeled in 2009.

An impressive front gate leading to the mansion is adorned with his number 23.  Amenities include a three-bedroom guesthouse, five fireplaces, an indoor-outdoor entertaining and pool area, outdoor tennis court, putting green, deep-water pond, a regulation-size indoor basketball court and three separate climate-controlled, multi-car garages.

If you’re able to afford the 2700 Point Lane property situated on seven acres in the prestigious North Shore area, you’ll undoubtedly not be phased by the annual property taxes that have averaged $165,000 in recent years.

Davy Jones Dead at 66

Davy Jones, lead singer of The Monkeys, has died from a heart attack at the age of 66.

Jones passed away Wednesday at Martin Memorial Hospital in Florida.

The British-born singer, best known as the frontman of The Monkeys, a band formed in the 1960s to star in the television series of the same name, began his career as a child in the U.K. on the soap opera Coronation Street.

The Monkeys split in 1971 and Jones went on to establish himself as a solo star.  He also joined forces with fellow Monkeys bandmember Micky Dolenz to form the group Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart, with songwriters Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart.

Jones last hit the stage last week on February 19, 2012, for a solo show in Oklahoma.

No further details surrounding his death are available at this time.  He is survived by his wife Jessica, and four daughters from previous marriages.

Celebrities Rock Shirt Tied Around the Waist Look in London: PHOTOS

When in London …

Kanye West was the first to hit the London turf while sporting a blue work shirt tied around his waist.  Now others are following suit.

West was photographed during London Fashion Week flaunting the chambray toned accessory worn with jeans, a green pullover sweater and denim jacket.

Rihanna hit the bricks this morning wearing a dark-hued work shirt with a lighter colored version tied around her waist as she headed out from her London hotel.

Last night Rob Kardashian and his girlfriend Rita Ora were sporting similar looks when they departed British nightclub Mahiki.  Ora made a slight departure, favoring a plaid shirt rather than the light blue.

The reality star and former DWTS celeb was rocking some seriously golden-hued pants that were rolled at the bottom, and paired with a funky shirt and Nike tennis shoes with a vintage vibe.

Ora’s plaid shirt look was big among rappers several months ago, including Pharrell, Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky.

This begs the questions … love it or hate it?

Oprah ‘Book Club Fight Club’ Spoof VIDEO

Oprah poked fun at her own successful book club during a post-Oscars show hosted by Jimmy Kimmel Sunday night.

The bit was hatched with Jimmy pitching new ideas to the former talk show maven, including a suggestion that she try Book Club Fight Club, a twist on her previously successful monthly segment that launched the careers of many authors.

We then see Oprah and several others in a living room setting as they begin a book discussion that quickly turns violent.

Snooki IS Pregnant After All

Although she has publicly denied that she is in a family way, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is indeed pregnant with boyfriend Jionni LaValle‘s child.

Rumors have been swirling since earlier this month that the Jersey Shore star is pregnant, and an inside source now confirms the news, saying Snooki plans to use her pregnancy to become “the next Kourtney Kardashian.”

Snooki negotiated a deal with Us Weekly to announce the news after shopping the story to several celebrity magazines.

Snooki and Jersey Shore co-star Jenni “JWoww” Farley signed a deal with MTV to star in a spin-off which has already begun shooting.

“MTV went into crisis mode after they found out,” says the source. “They’re trying to hide it because it would greatly affect the creative direction of the show.”

Photos snapped of Snooki on the set of the show seem to suggest she is trying to hide a baby bump, carrying large bags to hide her belly.  See photos below. Continue reading »
