James McCartney revealed during a BBC interview yesterday that he finds the prospect of forming a new band with other Beatles offspring something he’d definitely consider.
According to the 34-year-old son of Sir Paul McCartney, Sean Lennon and Dhani Harrison are interested in forming The Beatles – The Next Generation. It appears Zak Starkey, son of Ringo Starr, is not keen on the idea.
James admits, “I don’t think it’s something that Zak wants to do. Maybe Jason Starkey, another drummer son, would want to do it. Sean seemed to be into it, Dhani seemed to be into it. I’d be happy to do it.”
Here come the sons? McCartney was noncommittal, “We’ll have to wait and see. The will of God, nature’s support, I guess. So yeah, maybe.”
