Alec Baldwin‘s alleged stalker, Genevieve Sabourin, was arrested last night after showing up at his New York City apartment.
Sabourin, a 40-year-old Canadian actress, left her home in Canada and followed Baldwin to his home in the Hamptons on March 31 — the weekend he proposed to 28-year-old girlfriend Hilaria Thomas. Sabourin then showed up at an event at Lincoln Center on Thursday, and at his Manhattan apartment on Sunday, where she was taken into custody by police.
Baldwin, 54, was not at his apartment at the time, but was alerted by a doorman that Sabourin was there. The “30 Rock” actor then notified police, who arrested the woman for aggravated harassment and stalking at 7:45p.m.
Sabourin met Baldwin on the set of the 2002 film, “The Adventures of Pluto Nash,” where she worked as a publicist, and he had a cameo. She recently began sending him emails and texts professing her love for him, asking to borrow money, and telling him she wanted to have his baby.
Baldwin’s rep issued a statement, saying, “As you know, stalking is a serious issue, so we’ve turned this matter over to the New York Police Department.”
