In a nearly four minute phone call to Community creator Dan Harmon, Chevy Chase rants about his character's storylines, editing, not being appreciated, and "the final product" of the show, calling it a "f***ing mediocre sitcom."
"I want people to laugh and this isn't funny, says Chase in the audio, which was leaked online. "It ain't funny to me because I'm 67 years old and I've been doing this a long time. I've been making a lot of people laugh — a lot better than this."
This is the second audio between Chase and Harmon that has been leaked onto the Internet. Last week, Harmon issued a lengthy apology for allowing the first call to get out, saying," I made the horrible, childish, self-obsessed, unaware, naive and unprofessional decision to play someone’s voicemail to me. He didn’t intend for 150 people to listen and giggle at it, and I didn’t intend for millions of people to read angry reports about it. I was doing what I always do, and always get in trouble for doing, and always pay a steep price for doing. I was thinking about myself and I was thinking about making people laugh. I was airing my dirty laundry for a chuckle." (Read the entire statement)
