It’s been 20 years since Joey Buttafuoco and Amy Fisher made headlines for their torrid affair that ended with Mary Jo Buttafuoco being shot in the face.

Joey has decided to write a tell-all book after experiencing a recent brush with death. He claims his motives are pure — he simply wants to “clean the slate” and put this whole thing behind him.

The memoir is titled ‘Closure’ and will shed light on his side of the affair that led to the shooting of his ex-wife.

Buttafuoco points out that Mary Jo’s 2009 book is simply “an angry account of an ex-wife who pieced together her own vision of why things happened. She had no knowledge of my life away from home.”

Joey claims his version is different, “Everyone thinks they know the story but they really don’t.”

He is pretty sure that his ex-lover Amy Fisher won’t be happy but that isn’t stopping him. “It’s time for all of us to move on. My book is closure for everyone and our respective families. It’s time.”

Looks like old Joey is looking for another 15 minutes of fame and a pocket full of cash.
