Lindsay Lohan was nabbed early Wednesday morning in New York after she hit a pedestrian and then left the scene, less than a day after bad mouthing Amanda Bynes.
An NYPD spokesman revealed that Lohan was pulling into a parking garage in her Porsche Cayenne at 2 a.m., at a low rate of speed, when she clipped the knee of a 30-something guy who happened to be walking by.
Lohan's passenger got out and checked the vehicle for damage and then they parked and entered the Dream Hotel.
The victim in the case called 911 to report the hit and run. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a knee injury sustained in the car-pedestrian incident.
When the actress emerged from the hotel at 2:30 a.m., she was greeted by a police officer who handcuffed her and booked her on a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an accident that caused injury. The police report indicates that alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
She was not required to post bail but was issued a desk appearance ticket ordering her to appear for a hearing on the matter at a later date.
This latest brush with the law could trigger a probation violation hearing in Los Angeles, where she remains tethered to the court until 2014 as a result of a 2011 jewelry theft case.
One thing is certain ... Lindsay Lohan will be adding yet another booking photo to her ever growing wall of shame.
