With the premiere of ‘Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars’ season set to kick off Monday, it appears that veteran pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy is growing restless.

We aren’t sure if this is merely a ratings ploy or something of substance but the resident bad boy claims he is quitting the popular ABC celebrity dance competition when his contract is up next year.

It seems the Russian dancer has had it after 15 season. He laments, “Essentially, 80% of our job is to give somebody another push in their career. Or we make them into likable characters. But at the end of the day, they go off and they better themselves. I loved doing it. But to be honest with you, at 32, I am at what-about-me time.”

He’ll be putting Kirstie Alley through her paces this season. The former ‘Cheers’ actress proved to be one of the biggest viewer draws in the history of the show when she danced with Maks during season twelve. They finished in the runner-up spot, losing out to NFL Super Bowl champion Hines Ward.

We checked out Kirstie’s Twitter page to see which way the wind is blowing in her world this fine day. We found her early morning tweet to be quite interesting and likely aimed squarely at her dance partner:

Maks plans to pursue acting and is considering a reality show with his brother Val Chmerkovskiy, who will hit the dance floor this season with Kelly Monaco.
