Donnie Wahlberg shared video of his New York City apartment flooded by Hurricane Sandy on Twitter.

“Safe & Sound on Higher Ground!” tweeted the Blue Bloods star. “Material things are meaningless. Check in with those you know in the storm! Stay safe!!”

The video shows dramatic images of the damage inflicted on Whalberg’s apartment in the aftermath of the hurricane dubbed “Frankenstorm.”

Hurricane Sandy caused severe flooding and left many in New York City and surrounding areas without power.

Wahlberg wasn’t the only celebrity affected by Sandy. Alec Baldwin tweeted about the hurricane, saying “No lights here, no internet. My wife @hilariabaldwin and I, sitting in the dark wondering where is the storm? (No jokes please).

Later he tweeted, “Possibly leaving our home to check into a hotel. #powerless”.

Other celebrities chiming in included Whoopi Goldberg, who observed, “So trees kissing ground the wind is insane&we have a crane on 57th street that is dangling over the street. BigBig wind & sandy not here yet.”

While Debra Messing, who lives in NYC’s Upper West Side, prepared to hunker down and wait out the storm tweeting a photo of a fire in her fireplace. “And red wine…All I need are s’mores and a book and I’m set for #sandy).

Jimmy Fallon and David Letterman both taped episodes without a live audience on Monday. “We sent our audience home just to be safe. But we are doing our show tonight anyway. Should be fun. #LateNight,” Fallon tweeted.
