NBC aired a star-studded benefit concert last night to aid victims of the storm that devastated the Northeast, ravaging New York and New Jersey.
One of the performance highlights of the one-hour special was a rendition of ‘Under the Boardwalk’ led by late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon and Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, and backed by Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and one of his E Street bandmates.
Unfortunately Fallon’s microphone wasn’t working during the opening seconds but that was quickly rectified and the rest was a decidedly memorable performance, albeit ragged in a few spots. We’re guessing this tune will soon be recorded in a studio.
