Sharon Osbourne, co-host of ‘The Talk,’ revealed during a recent interview that she underwent a double mastectomy last summer.
The former ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge told U.K. Hello! magazine, “As soon as I found out I had the breast cancer gene, I thought: ‘The odds are not in my favor.’ I decided to just take everything off.”
Having already battled colon cancer a decade ago, the television personality decided that having her breast tissue removed was a “no brainer.”
It was during the 13-hour operation that doctors discovered her breast implants had leaked into her stomach wall, a potentially dangerous situation. That discovery has put her off any future plastic surgery.
Osbourne admits, “Now I am definitely done. You can’t buy your youth back, no matter how much money you’ve got. I won’t be going under the knife again.”
