Part-one of the ‘DWTS: All-Stars’ final round of competition aired Monday on ABC. For the first time in the 15 seasons of the show … three female celebrity contestants were vying for the championship trophy.

At the top of the leaderboard after two dance routines last night are Melissa Rycroft and her pro partner Tony Dovolani. They scored a total of six 10’s for a perfect night with their Samba and Freestyle performances.

Soap star Kelly Monaco and her Russian partner Val Chmerkovskiy had their best night ever with four 10’s and two 9.5 scores for a solid 59.

Olympic gymnastic Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough took a huge risk by repeating the controversial Quickstep that “pushed the boundaries” with illegal broken holds earlier this season.

In a filmed conversation during a practice session, Johnson questioned whether they should take out the moves that got them into trouble mid-season. Derek wasn’t having any part of that and they recreated the dance in its entirely–receiving the lowest scores of the night with a 9, 8.5 and a 9.5. They came back strong with a perfect 30 for their Freestyle and ended the night with a combined 57.

Derek gambled that their loyal fan base would provide enough votes to elevate their status going into the Instant Dance competition.

Tuesday night each couple will draw slips of paper out of a fishbowl to determine a dance style and music. After a short practice behind the scenes, each group will hit the stage one last time.

Which couple will win the All-Star competition tonight? We’re rooting for Melissa and Tony. You?
