Christie’s in London sold two of Madonna’s signature cone bras at auction to the same bidder earlier this week, fetching an impressive $77,000.
A candy-striped embroidered bra with sequins, worn by the Material Girl during her 1990 Blond Ambition tour, sold for the astounding price of $52,000.
A two-piece bustier featuring conical cups brought $25,000.
The items, both designed by Jean Paul Gaultier, were expected to bring $16,000 to $24,000 so it turned out to be a good day indeed for peddling Madonna memorabilia.
