Lindsay Lohan, despite legal trouble in New York and L.A., has taken up the role of groupie for the English-Irish boy band The Wanted.
The saga began at the end of November when she partied at a Manhattan nightclub with the band. She had her sights set on band member Max George when she suddenly felt compelled to assault a woman who was flirting with him too.
The 'Liz & Dick' actress laid low for a few days at Dina Lohan's pad after her arrest to recoup from and undoubtedly confer with her lawyer.
Still smitten with the likes of Max, she traveled Wednesday to Pennsylvania to catch a concert featuring her new favorite band at a venue in Philadelphia. She wrangled a VIP pass and got an invite to travel on the tour bus to their next gig in Boston. Her pal Max tweeted a photo of himself with a bottle of Jagermeister that he captioned, "Good night ahead."
From Boston the group and groupie Lohan headed back to NYC for a performance Friday night at the Z100 Jingle Ball 2012 at Madison Square Garden.
A reporter asked Max George about his hookup with Lilo. He boasted, "She can party, like, nearly as hard as we can! We had a big night on The Box in NYC. We just had one big party, it was great."
When Max was asked if he was inclined to help her to stay on the straight an narrow, he responded, "We're probably not the best influence, to be honest."
After wrapping their American tour schedule, The Wanted headed back across the pond yesterday. Groupie LiLo managed to latch on to a souvenir from her short-term musical tour adventure. She hit Twitter Saturday night to post a photo of a grey hoodie covered with texting abbreviations that she captioned, "Missing something? @MaxTheWanted"
