According to Forbes, pop princess Britney Spears was the top-earning woman in music this year, earning an estimated $58 million for her album ‘Femme Fatale,’ endorsements, her signature perfume line and that lucrative gig on X Factor.
She edged out country singer Taylor Swift, who amassed an impressive $57 million for her tour, the new album ‘Red,’ contracts with mega brands CoverGirl and Sony, and her own fragrance line. Regarding her concerts — Swift reportedly rakes in $1 million every night she hits the stage.
Third spot honors went to Rihanna, with a respectable $53 million. On her heels was Lady Gaga, who banked $52 million.
