The opening minutes of 'The Voice' last night featured a poignant rendition of 'Hallelujah' with solos offered up by the coaches to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut.
Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Cee-Lo Green and Christina Aguilera sang their parts in the moving tribute as the camera panned the group of 26 on choir risers who held cards with each of the names of the fallen displayed.
Large flickering candles banked the front of the stage for the touching performance that was done in a low light setting. A similar tribute, by a children's choir, opened 'SNL' this past weekend - see that here.
