Tony Hawk, arguably one of the greatest skateboarders of all time, is catching a lot of flak after posting some Instagram images of his 4-year-old daughter Kadence catching a wild ride with her dad.

The youngster smiled broadly as her dad swung her in an upward arc but it was the fact that she wasn’t wearing a protective helmet, pads or even shoes for that matter that angered many of his social media followers.

Despite the backlash on Twitter and on his Instagram page, Tony posted another photo with this comment: “One more from yesterday. For those that say I endanger my child: it’s more likely that you will fall while walking on the sidewalk than I will while skating with my daughter.”

So what do you think? Is Hawk setting a bad example or should we all just carry on and let him be the parent?
