Ben Affleck sat down for an interview that will air Sunday with Bob Schieffer on Face the Nation.

Affleck, the founder of the Eastern Congo Initiative, was in Washington D.C. this week to testify before the House Armed Services Committee on the bloody conflict in the war-torn country.

Still riding high with his recent box office hit ‘Argo,’ the actor-director played coy when Schieffer asked him about speculation that he’ll make a run to replace Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, who is expected to replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.

Affleck acknowledged that he has a “great fondness and admiration for the political process” but refused to “get into speculation.”

He then pointed out, “Massachusetts currently has two extraordinary senators. There is no vacancy.”
