After three years of marriage, reality star Bethenny Frankel has announced that she and her husband Jason Hoppy have separated.

The creator of Skinnygirl Cocktails released this statement Sunday: “It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating. This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family.”

“We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us.”

Frankel’s ‘Real Housewives of New York’ spin-off ‘Bethenny Getting Married?’ showcased her pregnancy and their March 2010 wedding. Two months after the couple walked down the aisle Frankel gave birth to a daughter, Bryn.

She continued her reality journey with three seasons of ‘Bethenny Ever After,’ which ended on May 28, 2012.

Next up for the entrepreneur is a television talk show that has been picked up by Warner Bros. for syndication in 2013.
