The Victorian home used as the exterior of The Mary Tyler Moore Show's famous bachelorette pad is for sale.
The house, which is shown in the opening sequence, is depicted as an apartment building on the show, where Mary lived in an upstairs apartment, her best friend Rhoda lived in an attic apartment, and landlord Phyllis lived on the main floor.
In reality, there are no apartments in the 9,500-square-foot home located at 2104 Kenwood Pkwy in Minneapolis, MN. According to listing information, there are 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms; a gourmet center island kitchen with high end stainless and integrated appliances which opens to a family room; ornate millwork, bayed rooms and leaded glass transom accents throughout; a third level family room; and a 3 car garage.
The house is listed for $2.895 million, but if you're interested in purchasing be aware that tour buses (30 a day in the summer) stop in front of the iconic home.
