TODAY co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford told viewers this morning that they are going to take a 30-day hiatus from drinking wine during their daily NBC broadcast.
Kathie Lee said, “This is a real dilemma for us because tomorrow is the beginning of a really tough month for us.” Hoda chimed it, “It is. Ladies Homes Journal asked us to give up drinking for one month. I think we should have gone for February, the short month.”
The television duo appear on the February cover of the popular magazine which they’ll be previewing on Tuesday’s show … the actual date they have agreed to temporarily give up their daily on-air libation.
The women eagerly tore into a bottle of Colby Red for their last drink this morning … though Hoda made it clear twice during the segment that the pact was “on the air” only.
