Dethroned athlete Lance Armstrong has agreed to an exclusive interview with Oprah to discuss the doping scandal that brought his personal empire tumbling down.
The former professional cyclist will appear during a 90-minute episode of Oprah's Next Chapter on January 17 at 9/8c on OWN that is being dubbed as a "no-holds-barred" discussion of his monumental fall from grace.
The seven-time Tour de France winner has remained silent since he was stripped of his titles and dropped from endorsement deals worth millions in the wake of a drug scandal brought forward by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.
Besides a lifetime ban from competing professionally, Armstrong was pressured to resign from his Live Strong Foundation or risk the loss of sponsorship for a cause he holds near and dear to his heart.
Lance first sat down with Oprah in 2005 during an Oprah Winfrey Show segment to discuss his battle with testicular cancer and the Livestrong campaign.
