Matt Damon took over ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ Thursday night after years of being the butt of a long-running joke.

For the past ten years show host Jimmy Kimmel has ended his show by stating that he ran out of time and couldn’t bring on guest Matt Damon.

The ‘Good Will Hunting’ actor decided to get sweet revenge by “kidnapping” Jimmy. After duct-taping the host to a chair and gagging him with a tie, Damon took over the show as Jimmy looked on.

He renamed the show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Sucks’ and joked during his monologue, “I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long, long time. This is like the time I lost my virginity, except this is going to last way longer than one second.”

The actor’s star-studded guest list included Ben Affleck, Sheryl Crow, Andy Garcia, Nicole Kidman, Gary Oldman, Reese Witherspoon, Amy Adams and Demi Moore.

Other high-profile celebs appearing via video included Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Lopez, Sally Fields, John Krasinski, Robert De Niro and Don Cheadle.

At the end of the show, Kimmel’s ex-girlfriend, comedian Sarah Silverman was asked if she had anything she wished to say to Jimmy. She replied, “No, I’m good.”
