Burt Reynolds has been hospitalized with the flu. The 76-year-old actor was placed in ICU in a Florida hospital Friday for severe dehydration.
According to Reynolds’ rep, Erik Kritzer, Reynolds was doing better by Friday evening and was expected to be moved to a regular hospital room once he got more fluids.
“They are taking care of him and his mustache,” the rep told E! Online.
Reynolds more notable roles include Bo ‘Bandit’ Darville in Smokey and the Bandit, Jack Homer in Boogie Nights — for which he received an Oscar nomination, and Wood Newton in the CBS sitcom Evening Shade.
