Christopher Gaida, 38, has been a Hollywood A-list escort for the last 14 years and he is now exposing some top secrets in his book 'Arm Candy: A Celebrity Escort's Tales From The Red Carpet.'
In the interest of full disclosure, Christopher isn't a paid "sex" escort but rather handles the actresses during red carpet events so that they get from Point A to Point B without tripping on their gowns or turning an ankle in their sky-high heels.
His escorting career began when he was 24 and working as a temp for MTV. Gaida claims to have 150 events under his belt and has assisted Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, Jessica Alba, Megan Fox and Julia Roberts.
NY Post explains his duties, "When the star arrives at the carpet, Gaida introduces himself to the star's staff — publicists, managers, etc. — and then to the star directly. From there, they quickly discuss a game plan. How long will they stay on the carpet for photos? How many interviews will they do? What media outlets need to be avoided completely because they’ve written negative things in the past?"
Gaida claims red carpet events aren't necessarily a cake walk for these leading ladies, "They are actors, so they are used to having lines prepared for them, and they get several takes. These shows are mostly live, and they have to be themselves, which is sometimes hard.”
He revealed that Megan Fox freaking out backstage at the 2007 Teen Choice Awards. He also suggested to Jessica Alba that she should change dresses at the Taurus World Stunt Awards. Other insider tidbits: Sharon Stone really is a diva and Julia Roberts once yelled at him.
The book hasn't proven to be too controversial, though Gaida admits, “Some insecure management-level people are worried that I'm revealing too much." Click the link below to order a copy.
