Robin Roberts will be returning to the 'Good Morning America' anchor desk on February 20 after a five month absence to undergo a life saving bone marrow transplant.
Her frightening medical journey began after she was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disorder. It has been a decidedly rough run for Roberts but she is now well enough to resume her television career.
Roberts told ABC News, "I cannot wait to return to my GMA family. It's going to be an incredible morning in Times Square. The overwhelming thoughts and prayers of the viewers have played a major part in getting me here today. I cannot thank everyone enough."
The television personality received good news this week when test results indicated no abnormalities, a green light for her return to work.
Robin will be featured in a special edition of 20/20 on Feb. 22, a behind-the-scenes glimpse at what she has been through and how she has inspired so many throughout her fight.
