What started out as a few postponed tour engagements for Lady Gaga has quickly morphed into a full blown cancellation of her 21 remaining Born This Way Ball concerts.
Earlier this week the entertainer announced she would reschedule shows in Chicago, Detroit and Ontario, Canada because she was suffering from joint inflammation that she had been hiding from her crew and handlers for over a month. Things deteriorated a few days ago when she was suddenly unable to walk.
According to her rep, "After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour so she can heal."
None of the shows will be rescheduled, as earlier reported, and refunds will be available beginning Thursday, Feb. 14.
