Newly-anointed Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway was rocking a pale pink satin Prada gown last night at the Oscars and suffice to say, the reviews are mixed.
While chatting it up with red carpet correspondent Lara Spencer, the ‘Les Miserables’ actress described the looks as “business in front, party in the back.”
Some have likened the look to a “boring 90’s prom dress” and others were seriously bothered by the side darts that made the front of her dress very pointy … in a bad way.
The actress admitted to the host of ‘GMA’, “I didn’t know what I was wearing until about three hours ago.”
In fact, she had planned to wear a Valentino gown, prompting a premature press release by the designer claiming credit for her dress. Oops!
Anne changed things up for the high-profile Vanity Fair after party, opting for a grey-blue Saint Laurent dress with a silver triangular neckline.
Hathaway is often included on the Best Dressed lists that pop up after this type of red carpet event. That said, let us what if you think these Oscar gowns earn her a fashion hit or miss?
