Bonnie Franklin died at her Los Angeles home on Friday after suffering complications related to pancreatic cancer. She was 69.

The ‘One Day at a Time’ actress portrayed television mom Ann Romano on the popular Norman Lear sitcom from 1975-1984. Her teenage daughters were portrayed by Mackenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinelli.

Bonnie got her television start at age nine when she appeared on ‘The Colgate Comedy Hour.’ During her sixty year career she was nominated for Emmy, Tony and Golden Globe awards.

The actress was reunited with Valerie Bertinelli in 2011 during a episode of ‘Hot in Cleveland,’ cast as the mother of Melanie’s boyfriend.

Franklin is survived by her mother, Claire Franklin, and stepchildren Jed Minoff and Julie Minoff. She is preceded in death by her second husband, producer Marvin Minoff, who died in 2009.
