During last night's baseball game at Yankee Stadium, the organization played 'Sweet Caroline' as a tribute to the Boston Marathon bombing victims.
A sign hung outside the stadium showed the logos of the New York Yankees and their arch rivals, the Boston Red Sox, along with the solidarity message 'United We Stand.'
'Sweet Caroline' is the Fenway Park anthem played at every Boston baseball home game since 1997.
Singer Neil Diamond expressed his appreciation for the gesture via Twitter, "Thank you NY Yankees for playing 'Sweet Caroline' for the people of Boston. You scored a home run in my heart. With respect, Neil #OneBoston"
