Last night 'American Idol' contestant Angie Miller gave a beautiful tribute to her hometown of Boston with a rendition of The Pretenders tune 'I'll Stand By You.'
Miller is one of the five women vying for this season's 'Idol' title. The 18-year-old grew up in Beverly -- just outside of Boston and brought the audience to tears during her heartfelt performance.
She said before beginning the song, "This is for my town, Boston." After she finished, three of the four judges gave her a standing ovation.
Angie posted on her Twitter page, "Praying for all of you in Boston right now, and to all the families of those who were injured. And my heart is going out to my home."
The talented singer told Fox News “Right when the bombings happened, I knew that I wanted to have some sort of dedication-- show my love for Boston-- in some sort of way."
