WOW! ‘New Girl’ star Zooey Deschanel had quite the surprise when she was identified as one of the Boston bombers on Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth News closed caption.
Peter Ogburn, a radio show producer and writer, was watching coverage of the manhunt for the second suspect on Fox 4 when it showed “Marathon bombing, he is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel,” on the television caption instead of 19-year-old Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev.
Taking a screen shot, Ogburn posted the pic and a message, “Oh come on, Fox” on his Twitter page.
As you can imagine, Zooey also posted the photo on her Twitter page and had this to say about the mistaken identification:
Tsarnaev was captured during a massive manhunt on Friday night after he was found hiding in a boat behind a home in Watertown, Mass. More on that here.
