Kate McKinnon of ‘Saturday Night Live’ fame did an amazingly convincing impersonation of Ellen DeGeneres yesterday during a guest appearance.

After sitting down with Ellen for a chat, the talk show host sent McKinnon backstage with a duplicate set of clothing to match what DeGeneres was wearing.

The ‘SNL’ celeb reemerged while rocking out with some very cool Ellen-like dance moves as she channeled her version of Ellen for the popular comedian.

McKinnon took over the hosting chair and announced, “I’m Vegan… I’m just kidding. I’m Ellen” before morphed into some classic chair squirming. Then she joined the real DeGeneres for a dance segment with the audience.

Kate appeared for all three season of ‘The Big Gay Sketch Show’ circa 2007-2010, a LGBT-themed series that was produced by Rosie O’Donnell. During that stint she impersonated Barbara Walter in ‘The View’ sketches.
