Kris Jenner launches her new FOX talk show 'Kris' in mid-July and has already begun promoting the new television gig that is being billed as a six-week trial run.
She admits, "Growing up on Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas, I just loved talk shows. I thought, 'Wow, wouldn’t it be a dream come true to have this job?'"
The show will focus on fashion, fitness, beauty and celebrity chat. She hopes that viewers will be inspired to follow their dreams because "so many women give up in life when they get a little bit older. I want to be a positive influence. I want to come from a really good place. Some people are just lost, and maybe I can be an inspiration."
The Kardashian family matriarch covers and is featured in an article in the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter, where she talks about her personal life and business.
Despite the negative press regarding cheating, divorce, plastic surgery, scripted reality shows, Kris is adamant that 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' has been nothing but a positive experience for her family.
She said, "We’ve created businesses and a workplace. It’s so funny that somebody can criticize a show like ours, and yet we employ hundreds of people. And it’s been such a great learning experience for all of my kids. It’s the best education I could offer them."
Kris claims her family is the same on and off the cameras, "There really are no scripts. Most people don’t believe that, but we don’t have anything reconsidered."
Prediction time ... will Jenner turn her six-week stint into yet another money making proposition for the Kardashian brand?
