After a failed reconciliation attempt, Tish Cyrus has filing for divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus, citing "irreconcilable differences."
The couple wed 19 years ago and have five children. They initially split in October 2010 and patched things up six months later in order to work out their differences.
Tish is seeking full physical and legal custody of their only minor child, Noah, 13. She is requesting spousal support and payment of her legal fees. Billy Ray will recieve liberal visitation rights.
TMZ received this statement, "This is a personal matter and we are working to find a resolution that is in the best interest of our family. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time."
Daughter Miley Cyrus tweeted her father a message yesterday that has since been removed, "@billyraycyrus since your texts and email obviously aren't working would you like to talk like this?"
When Billy Ray filed the initial divorce action, he told reporters that it was Miley's fame that ended up compromising their family.
The 'Achy Breaky Heart' singer appear last November on Broadway in the Tony-winning revival of 'Chicago.'
He recently participated in the filming of a limited release movie, 'Like A Country Song' that will benefit Music City, with a release date slated for Nov. 2013 with three previews screenings scheduled in Nashville.
