When high wire daredevil Nik Wallenda was completing his nearly 23 minute walk on a two-inch thick cable strung near the Grand Canyon Sunday, he was sporting a pair of Buffalo jeans, a fact not lost on the company CEO.

The Guinness World Record breaking feat was broadcast live to 219 countries on the Discovery Channel and was witnessed by an estimated 13 million people.

Suffice it to say that the designer who created the Buffalo by David Bitton brand is elated that Nik was sporting a pair of his popular jeans.

To show his gratitude, David Bitton will provide the Wallenda family with free jeans for life. Check out the photo prominently displayed on their website homepage:

The company commissioned a billboard “love letter” to be erected above Times Square in Manhattan. It says: “Dear Nik, Thanks for bringing us to new heights. Buffalo David Bitton”

Wallenda spent 22 minutes and 54 seconds walking on a thin cable 1,500 feet over the Little Colorado River Gorge in northeastern Arizona, near the Grand Canyon.

Waiting anxiously during the internationally televised stunt were his wife Erendira and the couple’s three children: Yanni, 15, Amadaos, 12, and Evita, 10.
