Seven weeks after being choked in public by her millionaire husband, British celebrity chef and author Nigella Lawson is officially divorced.

A judge in London needed only 70-seconds to dissolve the broken union between Lawson and her advertising executive spouse Charles Sattchi.

Their nearly 10-year union collapsed last month after Sattchi grabbed his wife around the neck during an argument that escalated while they were dining at a London seafood restaurant.

Photos of the incident were quickly published by the Sunday People, causing a firestorm of outrage.

Nigella, 53, moved out of the family home the day after the incident and her husband promptly released a statement indicating he was “disappointed” that his wife did not publicly support him or let people know that he never physically abused her.

Following a police investigation, the 70-year-old art dealer admitted that he had assaulted his wife.

Lawson executive produces and serves as a celebrity judge on the ABC reality cooking show ‘The Taste,’ which was recently renewed for a second season. Her fellow judges are Anthony Bourdain, Ludo Lefebvre and Brian Malarkey.
