The frantic 911 call from Usher's Atlanta residence was made public hours after the singer's five-year-old son became stuck in a drain at the bottom of the family swimming pool.
His aunt Rena Oden said breathlessly, "I need an ambulance. My nephew was in the pool and I couldn't get him ... I couldn't get him."
Two audio-visual subcontractors, who happened to be on the property, pulled the boy from the pool and provided aid until an ambulance arrived.
Oden told the dispatcher, "They are doing CPR on him now."
When paramedics arrived, they found Usher Raymond V "conscious, alert and breathing." He was transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite, where he remains hospitalized.
The accident comes a year after the death of his half brother, 11-year-old Kile Glover, the son of Tameka Foster - Usher's ex-wife.
Foster filed court documents this morning, according to TMZ, requesting an emergency hearing later this week to revisit the custody arrangement that gave her ex-husband primary physical custody of Usher V and his younger brother Naviyd, 4, in late 2012, as Foster was coping with the death of a son.
