The Los Angeles Police Department has closed their missing persons case after locating high ranking Scientology member Shelly Miscavige.

An investigation was launched after actress and former Scientologist Leah Remini called police to report that the wife of David Miscavige hadn’t been seen in public since 2007.

According to The Underground Bunker, the case has now been closed after it was determined that the report was “unfounded.”

Remini, who is planning to dish some juicy Scientology dirt in a tell-all, is probably still wondering if the wife of the most powerful man in the Church of Scientology is being held under duress.

It didn’t take celebrity Scientologist Kirstie Alley long to respond to the newest turn of events via Twitter:

According to The Underground Bunker reporter Tony Ortega, “Leah Remini and the public still has no confirmation on where Shelly Miscavige is, what condition she’s in, and why she hasn’t been seen at church events in the last seven years.”

We’re guessing Remini won’t let it go — which means that her former pal Kirstie, now her #1 arch rival, will continue to fire off more thinly-veiled Twitter salvos. Stay tuned…
