Mike Tyson dropped a bombshell on Friday night at a press conference in New York, telling reporters that he has a serious alcohol addiction and he's on the "verge of dying."
The former boxer revealed that he has been lying for many years about being sober, "I wanna change my life, I wanna live a different life now. I wanna live my sober life. I don't wanna die. I'm on the verge of dying, because I'm a vicious alcoholic."
The heavyweight champ wants to get sober and stay that way forever. Tyson has been free of drugs and alcohol for the past six days and is calling it a "miracle."
Tyson's rep told TMZ, "Unfortunately Mike has made some mistakes recently but fortunately he now recognizes them and is willing to fight his way back to the road of recovery."
Mike was in New York to promote his upcoming Iron Mike Productions fight card when he gave the reporters a few unexpected revelations to digest.
