NASCAR racer Danica Patrick will co-host the 4th Annual American Country Awards with country veteran Trace Adkins.

Adkins joked, “I can’t wait to see if I have what it takes to keep up with this racing superstar.”

The Go Daddy driver responded, “I have no doubt he’ll be able to keep up with me. I’ve become a huge fan of country music since I came to NASCAR. This is going to be a really cool experience and I’m excited to be a part of it. It’s going to be a great show!”

The 31-year-old drives #10 for Stewart-Haas Racing and in 2013 became the first female NASCAR driver to win a Sprint Cup Series pole, turning in the fastest qualifying lap since 1990 leading up to the Daytona 500. In addition, she has been featured in a number of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues and films commercials for her sponsor Go Daddy.com.

On Sept. 3, 2013, Patrick appeared on the Food Network’s competitive cooking show ‘Chopped.’ She beat out three other celebrities to win the competition before hitting Twitter to do a little boasting.

The American Country Awards will be broadcast live from Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, December 10 on FOX.
