Jessica Simpson enjoyed a “Mom’s day out” Tuesday and a day later tweeted something kind of strange, “I need to make music.”

Those infrequent girlfriend gathering can definitely get the creative juices flowing — and in this case, it sounds like the former ‘Fashion Star’ mentor is considering her next career move.

Lunching Tuesday with Jess were her BFF’s CaCee Cobb and Stephanie Terblanche. Simpson looked radiant as she posed behind a strategically placed handbag that blocked a full body view.

Eric Johnson’s fiancee is reluctant to reveal her shapely figure prior to an upcoming Weight Watchers commercial, when her second post-baby transformation will be splashed on television and in print ads.

She recently acknowledged via social media that it felt good to party with her pals after a 19 month hiatus necessitated by back-to-back pregnancies. Daughter Maxwell turned 1 in May and her baby brother Ace was born two months later. Suffice it to say–their mama is thrilled to finally have some “me” time.

The 33-year-old is no stranger to the music scene. She was signed by Columbia Records at age 16 and dropped out of high school, later earning her GED. She debuted ‘I Wanna Love You Forever’ in 1999. It peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and proved to be her most successful single. The album ‘Sweet Kisses’ was certified 2x Platinum, selling a total of 4 million copies worldwide.

Her seventh and last album, ‘Happy Christmas,’ was released in 2010 and sold 110,000 in the U.S. and 500,000 copies worldwide.

It remains to be seen whether Jessica will try to resurrect her music career. This could get interesting…
