‘Gravity’ star Sandra Bullock demonstrated her rap skills Saturday night on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show,’ with a performance of Sugarhill Gang’s ‘Rapper’s Delight.’

While promoting her latest movie, Sandra told host Ross that she memorized the lyrics to the 1979 hip-hop classic in high school to impress a boy.

The 49-year-old mused, “I was like, ‘Next time I go to that dance, I’m going to know every word. I’m going to make sure he sees me lip-syncing it, and I’m going to catch his eye, and say the words. And he’s going to like me.’ And sadly it worked.”

She is still a fan of that rap song and admits that during breaks on the set of ‘Gravity,’ she and co-star George Clooney practiced it together. Bullock claims it was one of the ways she dealt with bouts of depression she experienced while locked in an isolation tank for 10 hours at a time.

When Jonathan Ross asked if she’d do a little demonstration, she agreed on one condition. “I need some beats. Gimme some beats, yo.”
