Lady Gaga and her longtime manager Troy Carter have split due to creative differences.

In 2007 Carter signed Gaga and helped launch the entertainer’s award-winning career. During an interview earlier this year he said, “She was very specific about her vision, all of the music was there, and all she needed was someone to help her translate it to the rest of the world, which is where I came in.”

Troy is credited with masterminding much of her international success, including her massive social media audience. She has 60 million Facebook fans and is #3 on Twitter with 40 million followers.

The founder, chairman and CEO of Coalition Media Group also manages John Legend, Lindsey Stirling, Greyson Chance, Priyanka Chopra and Mindless Behavior. His management division is Atom Factory — clearly the guy is not out of work.

On Sunday night Lady Gaga performed at the YouTube Music Awards and gave a three minute rendition of her latest single ‘Dope.’ Tearful throughout, she sang out-of-tune while rocking fake decaying teeth and bare feet.

She has sold 20 million albums worldwide and continues to reinvent herself in ways that seem to have gone well beyond bizarre. Are we seeing a performer who is ready to implode? Scary …
