Ben Stiller was honored Tuesday during an Imprint Ceremony at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood – the 218th such event since 1927. The event was live streamed – click here to view.

The high profile event was timed to coincide with the premiere of his latest film ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,’ slated to hit theaters on December 25, 2013.

On hand to introduce the man-of-the-hour was his old pal Tom Cruise, who appeared in Stiller’s 2008 film ‘Tropic Thunder.’ The comedian directed, co-wrote and starred in the action comedy with Robert Downey, Jr., and Jack Black.

Stiller, the son of actors Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller, posed for photos with his comedic-actress wife Christine Taylor and the couple’s two children; daughter Ella and son Quinlin.

He was awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program in 1992 for his work on ‘The Ben Stiller Show.’ In 2011 he received the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy by BAFTA Los Angeles.

Other celebrities who have been honored with an Imprint Ceremony in 2013: Robert DeNiro, Jane Fonda, Sandra Bullock and John Goodman.
